“All ‘inizio fu soul funky boogie & disco…poi italo disco e nacque cosi l’house music…”

Cresciuto e lavorando nella discoteca del papà alla fine degli anni 70 (Meeting Club poi Jimmy’Z Torino)… la musica fu subito una passione…vivendo cosi tutto il periodo degli anni ’80 ascoltando di tutto, da Morricone a George Benson ,dal funky dei Kool&theGang all’elettronica dei Rockets e Kraftwerk ,e tutta la disco di quegli anni Giorgio Moroder, Cerrone, e poi ancora Alan Parson Project, Santana, Jean-Michel Jarre e tanti altri (di cui conserva gelosamente ancora i dischi) , divertendosi a registrare su cassetta vari mix e brani, imparando a mixare con i vinili con semplici giradischi a cinghia perfezionando la tecnica poi con i famosi Technics SL1200, grazie anche all’amico ed estroso Gigi D’agostino , dj emergente e agli esordi proprio nel locale del padre: Jimmy’Z Club (’85-’86).

A fine anni ’80, esplode il fenomeno House Music e Acid House, ed è energia pura.. un mix di sonorita’ e ritmiche nuove e samples variegato che prendono spunto da qualsiasi cosa: jingle,serie tv,vocal anni ’70-’80,e che ha modo di vivere e godere a pieno al Pick-Up di Torino.

Nei pieni anni ’90 diventa Dj Resident al Patio di Torino,mixando l’house, commerciale e progressive con i propri vinili di brani che han fatto la storia della Dance e che sono richiestissimi tutt’ora.

Negli anni lavora come resident e freelance in Torino e in Costa Smeralda in diversi club ,discobar , lounge restaurant, e feste private, spaziando musicalmente a 360°, dal Lounge all ‘House passando per R’n’b , Rock, Italiano , Dance e Edm.

Collezionista di vinili e cd, di qualsiasi genere musicale (Lounge,Classic,Italian,Bossa,Indie,Britpop, Funky,Dance,House,Rock,Soul..), preferisce l’House Music per il groove trascinante, con ritmi e sample di brani famosi di grandi artisti che hanno fatto la storia della musica.

Dal 2017 dall’amicizia con Mirko Paoloni collabora con RadioPartyGroove , 100% house radio italiana, dove crea il programma CLUBBERS, dedicato agli amanti della musica house e frequentatori di club, mixando :

Soulful, Nu-disco, Jackin House,Indie Disco, Deep House, FunkyHouse e Tech House….

“At first it was soul, funky, boogie, and disco… then Italo disco, and that’s how house music was born…”

Growing up and working in his father’s nightclub in the late ’70s (Meeting Club, then Jimmy’Z Turin), music was immediately a passion…he lived through the entire ’80s listening to everything from Morricone to George Benson, from the funky sounds of Kool & the Gang to the electronic sounds of the Rockets and Kraftwerk, and all the disco of those years—Giorgio Moroder, Cerrone, and then the Alan Parsons Project, Santana, Jean-Michel Jarre, and many others (whose records he still jealously guards). He enjoyed recording various mixes and tracks on cassette, learning to mix with vinyl on simple belt-driven turntables, then perfecting his technique with the famous Technics SL1200s, thanks also to his friend and inventive DJ Gigi D’Agostino, an emerging artist, he began his career at his father’s club, Jimmy’Z Club (1985-1986).

In the late 1980s, the House Music and Acid House phenomenon exploded, and it was pure energy… a mix of new sounds and rhythms and diverse samples inspired by everything from jingles to TV series and vocals from the 1970s and 1980s, which he experienced and enjoyed to the fullest at Pick-Up in Turin.

In the mid-1990s, he became a resident DJ at Patio in Turin, mixing house, commercial, and progressive with his own vinyl releases of songs that have made dance history and are still in high demand today.

Over the years, he has worked as a resident and freelancer in Turin and the Costa Smeralda at various clubs, disco bars, lounge restaurants, and private parties, ranging musically from lounge to house, including R&B,Rock,Italian,Dance, and EDM.

A collector of vinyl and CDs of all genres (Lounge,Classic,Italian,Bossa,Indie,Britpop,Funk,Dance,House,Rock,Soul, etc.), he prefers House Music for its driving groove, featuring rhythms and samples of famous songs by great artists who have made music history.

Since 2017, thanks to his friendship with Mirko Paoloni, he has collaborated with RadioPartyGroove, a 100% Italian house radio station, where he created the program CLUBBERS, dedicated to house music lovers and clubbers, mixing:

Soulful, Nu-disco, Jackin House, Indie Disco, Deep House, Funky House, and Tech House.
