Tour-Maubourg launches Alone Together with debut EP It’s Time

After a decade performing in Europe’s most prestigious clubs and amassing millions of streams across two albums and several EPs, Tour-Maubourg is today launching Alone Together, his own label—conceived as a space of creative freedom to develop his vision for electronic and club music.

“I wanted to be able to explore the different facets of club music I love without limitations,” he explains. “Each release will have its own sonic identity. Records that, I hope, will have that timeless quality.”

The opening chapter of this new venture, It’s Time marks a deliberate return to fundamentals: stripped-back house music rooted in the 1990s North American heritage of Masters At Work, Mood II Swing, Glenn Underground, and labels like Strictly Rhythm and Nu Groove. This four-track EP brings together Tour-Maubourg’s sonic signatures—MPC grooves, jazz harmonies, organic samples—while saxophonist Cyan Lu reinforces the project’s organic dimension, all wrapped in a timeless aesthetic that stays true to house music’s original spirit.

Sax Track (feat. Cyan Lu) opens the record with a return to garage house essentials. The track merges Cyan Lu’s live instrumentation with the raw, unadorned aesthetic of early New York house records (Strictly Rhythm, Nu Groove). Between TR-909 drums, MPC grooves, sampled vocals, and jazz harmonies, the track deploys an energy that’s simultaneously rough, direct, and deeply communal—built for the dancefloor’s peak moments.

Next comes Flutes Of Luv, the EP’s most introspective track. A deep bassline, cascading delays, and a swing inherited from 1990s New York house create a hypnotic atmosphere. Snares weave together to forge a singular groove, while the flute serves as the track’s guiding thread, gradually opening the space and bringing a sense of elevation.

If Glenn Underground, Boo Williams, and Kenny Dope found themselves stuck in an elevator, the result might well be called Xcuse Me. Sitting between Chicago’s most introspective house and New York groove, the track unfolds with insistent melodic lines, deep pads, and an irresistible swing. Production that’s both meditative and floor-ready in equal measure.

The record closes on It’s Time, the EP’s title track. Jazz chords and a funky bassline support a voice that draws you melancholically toward the dancefloor.

With this debut release, Tour-Maubourg establishes the foundations of Alone Together: A label turned towards authenticity, equally at ease with introspection and dancefloor impact.
