Rupert Marnie, co-founder of The Press Group and Remoto Records, makes his debut on Smallville with some serious curveball action.Once entering the beautiful vastness Hamburg’s sub-culture, its pretty obvious that you will learn about Matthias Schubert aka Rupert Marnie soon. Operating in the City’s deepest part of the underground, Matthias provide some highlights that you should know about – may it be as a DJ or Liveact, playing house, techno or ambient music at clubs like Golden Pudel, Südpol or Frappant in Hamburg or outside of town (Club der Visionäre/ Berlin,Bassiani/ Tblisi…), may it be co-running a vinyl label (The Press Group) or opening a record-store (remoto records) together with friends- there is quite a lot of things that Matthias has accomplished. We are very happy to present his latest installment – four raw and gritty tracks, deeply driving yet bouncy, wobbly at times and definitely with curveball-appeal and no compromises.
